BOATS ON THE WATER
It was amazing. We planned a day away from everyone. We went to the Texas Hill Country where there are ranches, vineyards, and beautiful rivers to go swimming and float down. As the day went on he had brought a picnic for lunch. As we ate by the riverbank wooden boats started to come down the river. We figured that some one had lost them and decided to pull them out of the river and place them on the bank. More and more of these wooden boats started coming down the river with flowers in them. Finally there was one last boat to pull out. Inside of it flowers were everywhere. In the center there was an envelope with a letter in it. I realized as I was reading it that this was a letter he had written to me a year ago about spending the rest of our lives together. I was just finishing the letter when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I couldn’t believe it.
TEDDY BEAR SURPRISE
My cousin and his girlfriend were on vacation walking through a small town just doing some window-shopping. They passed by a few of them and finally went into a toy store. They were looking around and came across a stuffed bear. She could explain why she liked it so much, but there was something about it. They left the store without buying it and enjoyed the rest of their vacation. A few days later he went back to the store and bought the bear she had been looking at.
Three weeks later he was on his way to pick her up for dinner. She got into the car and they were on their way to the restaurant. They started talking about their day and how everything was going. About five minutes away from the restaurant he asked her to get something out of the back seat. When she turned to look, there was the bear holding the open ring box. She just looked at him and started to cry. He asked her to marry him and all she could say is yes.
BALLOON RIDE
He had wanted to do something romantic for his girlfriend when he proposed to her. They had always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon. This was the perfect opportunity to ask for her hand in marriage. He called the company and set everything up. There would be two balloons at the site one for them and another with a message to her. They arrived at the site and started to get ready. Their balloon was just finishing as the other balloon started to inflate. The couple climbed into the basket and started to lift off. As they were climbing into the air the other balloon finished inflating. His girlfriend looked at the balloon and couldn’t believe her eyes. Will you marry me was written on the entire side of the Balloon!!
AQUARIUM DIVER
The couple was going to Hawaii on vacation and that is where he wanted to propose. Before he left for Hawaii he called his favorite restaurant to set everything up. In the restaurant there is a huge aquarium with exotic coral and fish. That is where he wanted to do it. At the restaurant they were seated at the table next to the aquarium. As they were eating dinner a diver entered the tank to take care of the fish. He swam up to the edge of the tank where they were sitting and knocked on the glass. In his hand was a ring and a sign asking her to marry her boyfriend. The boyfriend got down on one knee and she burst into tears with a yes coming from her mouth.
ICE, ICE BABY
He wanted to do something that no one else had done. The night before he “popped the question” he took the ring and froze it into an ice cube, knowing that after work they would have a drink with each other. Once she got home he asked her if she wanted something to drink. She said yes and sat down on the couch. He brought the glass over to her as she was enjoying her drink the ice cube with the ring was melting. The girlfriend had the glass to her lips and just stared into the glass. She looked at him and then back at the glass and realized what was inside. He got on one knee and asked her to marry him.
SLIDE SHOW
A gentle recently had the perfect idea to propose to his girlfriend. The two have been working in the same company for a few years. He arranged for a meeting with a company that they currently do a lot of business with. The company was ecstatic that he would want to do this with them present. With the meeting in place he was able to get his girlfriend to help plan everything for the meeting. When they arrived at the meeting in LA the presentation started. Everything was perfect; his girlfriend was staring right at the screen as he was flipping through the graphs. He was almost finished with the presentation when he flipped to the final graph. In the graph itself were the words “Will you marry me?” It took her a second to grasp what was going on as he got down on his knee. Tears came down her face as she said yes.
PRINCE CHARMING
There was a great proposal written up in a local newspaper recently in which an entire group was in attendance. A young man took his girlfriend to see the play Cinderella. During intermission, he excused himself and changed into the Prince Charming costume that he had rented. He came down the center aisle holding a glass slipper containing an engagement ring, all the time asking whose foot this slipper would fit. When he came upon his girlfriend, he knelt and asked her to marry him with the audience cheering in the background!
THE TOAST
A gentleman wanted to do something that would be romantic for his proposal, but wanted it to include their parents. So he decided to get the parents together for dinner as a thank you for the help they had given them over the past year. When they arrived at the restaurant he excused himself from the table and found their waiter. He told the waiter of his plans and to have champagne ready. They had just finished eating their dinner when he stood up to make a toast. His girlfriend looked at him like he was nuts for doing this, but she let him speak. At the end of his thank to both parents he dropped to his knee and asked for her hand in marriage. A new twist on an old romantic way of doing it!
THE PLUNGE
His life changed forever after surviving cancer, this gentleman changed careers and became a registered nurse so he could help people. There, he met the love of his life and they both shared a love for kayaking.
In Vermont he entered a local kayaking race in the frigid cold winter. He invited his girlfriend to meet his family and to see the race and he entered the race with eight of his friends. The water was very cold, as they neared the finish line he counted to three, and him and all of his friends capsized their boats at the same time. The bottom of the boats spelled out “Will you marry me?” The girlfriend was shocked, ecstatic, and happy and of course she accepted the proposal!
He and his friends had to practice the proposal, because it took talent to stay under the cold water, so everyone could make out the message on the bottom of the boats. He also worked hard to find customized electrical tape that would stick to the bottom of the boats in the cold water.
